Bank Holiday weekend - 26th, 27th & 28th August 2017
Petersfield Summer Festival was back in full force this year with a sun filled Bank Holiday weekend from start to finish. The sun was out, the cars were out, the Empire was out and the smiles were out with young and old enjoying themselves with everything on offer.
Hometown Festivals celebrated another Great British summer this August Bank Holiday weekend and we hope you were able to join us for a while to enjoy it in Petersfield Town Centre.
For the seventh successful year the free-to-enter Petersfield Summer Festival took place on the busy streets and market square in the centre of Petersfield. It featured three days of top quality live music with the whole festival starting on the Saturday evening followed by two full days of fantastic varied market stall trading featuring some of the best food and products available from the local area as well as awesome family entertainment and activities.
Below are a selection of awesome photos from the weekend showing a few of the things on offer to enjoy.
Thank you to our awesome sponsors who help us be able to put on our events throughout the year. Please remember to buy local and support these businesses.
With every event we put on, we continually try and improve and grow and so if you have any ideas of anything you would like to see included. Please let us know.
Over the course of the weekend, we had the return of Classic cars on display during Sunday as the Petersfield Post & Herald Summer Motor Show returned as well as on the Bank Holiday Monday when the Solent Renegades (http://www.solent-renegades.co.uk) joined us to show off their awesome vehicles.
The Force Festival returned again this year and transformed Petersfield into a Star Wars haven with over 25 characters descending on the town! The 501st Legion came to town in full Star Wars costumes for you to see and interact with as well as the opportunity to have your photograph taken with a pod racer from Star Wars for a small donation to Round Table Children’s Wish charity. A nationwide charity dedicated to granting ‘handcrafted’ wishes to children with a range of life threatening illnesses. www.rtcw.org.
With your generosity from giving donations when having your photograph taken, we helped raise over £700 for the charity.
